Ambition: The sky is the limit for our children. They explore lots of different and exiting topics, children are excited to learn new things every day.
We recommend books such as these for encouraging ambitious young people:
Empathy: Personal, social and emotion development is a prime area in our curriculum; children learn how our actions may make others feel and how to help someone in need. Children take part in lots of circle games and carpet sessions to help build on these skills.

Integrity: Children are taught the importance of doing the right thing and are encouraged to do so through lots of positive re-enforcements.
Many of our class stories have themes around doing the right things, such as the ones below.
Resilience: Throughout our loves we are faced with many difficult tasks that might make us think ‘I can’t do this’.
At Herrick we aim to change that inner monologue to ‘I can’t do it yet, but if I keep trying, I will get better’.
