Design Technology Curriculum Statement

Our Design and Technology curriculum aims to provide experiences where the children can use their design skills alongside other skills such a communication, resilience, independence and courage.

We want to provide the children with the opportunities to be creative and experimental. To explore different design ideas and create a project outcome that they are proud of.

We hope to provide the children with a range of design and technology skills that they can use throughout their lives.

Our Design and Technology process
All of our design projects start with a design brief. Our design process includes evaluate existing products; develop our design and technology skills alongside a range of technical methodology. This helps us to design and produce a product to be tested and evaluated against the design brief.

In Design and Technology our projects may be construction focused, textile focused or cooking focused.
